Married for more than eight years now to my NRI software engineer husband, I often wonder what marriage has given me. Sometimes when I miss India very much it seems I just have a lonely apartment in a foreign land. When Akhil’s parents had asked my father if he would give my hand to Akhil in marriage, father had said NO. He couldn’t bear that his only child should live so far away in Amrika! But as they say marriages are made in heaven!On Tuesday night while surfing the channels a good show, Salam e ishq being aired on Star One, caught my fancy. It was another reality show but hello there were no celebrities in there except for Mahima Chaudhari. I quite like Mahima, the desi girl of bollywood flick 'pardes'.I did not realize that I had sat through the entire episode. Normally, I am very finicky about reality shows. But, Salam e ishq is quite different from the rest. It is all about real life romance.
